Developing a Healthy Organisation Culture

The reason the Tap'd Engagement Model is circular is that there are aspects of people engagement that are entwined with each other, like levers, and if you increase one aspect of engagement it has a knock-on effect to other areas. An example of this is personal performance and team culture. If I highly skilled and motivated this can be enhanced or diluted by the team environment around me.

Tap'd offer solutions that raise personality and behaviour impact into your organisation's "consciousness" to promote better working environments for your particular business which leads to a healthy culture and more productive people.

IBM Culture Match Assessment

IBM Kenexa have developed vast amounts of data through 25 years of developing assessments for organisations to recruit and identify both external and internal talent. One key product is their Culture Match Assessment. Tap'd have seen the science behind, and benefits of, this robust assessment to deliver outputs such as:

  1. Increasing new hire job satisfaction and engagement
  2. Creating a positive brand impression
  3. Reducing turnover and increasing company stability
  4. Helping to implement succession plans for candidates more likely to stay with the organisation

Tap'd will work with you and IBM to understand your current culture needs and we will propose a Culture Match solution to create a step change in your culture towards a more positive, can-do and productive working environment. This approach can be as simple as an off-the-shelf solution with defined norms to a bespoke campaign that includes Situational Judgement Tests (SJTs), values sorting organisation-specific reporting.

The Culture Match tool uses research that has developed 60 value statements that encompass most business cultures that are arranged into 12 "Archetypes". Through working with focus groups in your current organisations these Archetypes can be "normed" for the desired culture of your organisation and the assessment aligned to highlight those taking it as to whether they will "fit" into your culture - reducing the risk of hire when combined with other recruitment or development assessments.

MBTI Individual and Team Development

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment has helped millions of people worldwide gain insights about themselves and how they interact with others—and improve how they communicate, learn, and work. It provides a powerful framework for building better relationships, driving positive change, harnessing innovation, and achieving excellence. The MBTI assessment makes Carl Jung's theory of psychological type both understandable and highly practical by helping individuals identify their preferences in four areas.

At Tap'd we have been personally been using MBTI for many years and are qualified practitioners. We believe however, that most of the benefit comes from interactive and experiential delivery of what personality preference really is and where you see it come into the real world around you. Taking an online questionnaire and receiving the report is not the way. It needs interpretation.

Tap'd can deliver MBTI as an individual experience as part of a Coaching programme and/or part of a wider team experience with other team models to create team identities and how each individual can bring positive benefit to the team from both their personality and their behaviours.

MBTI can also be used to develop better communication within business, enhance decision making, used as a management tool to help better coach and mentor their team. This increase in self awareness can benefit organisations prepare for periods of change and therefore combines well with some of the technology solutions we can offer to ensure that technology, the business and people develop together.
